World Name: CYBERCAM

Project Description

CyberCamp 2000 offers a unique opportunity to students entering grades 9 through 12. The camp is designed to introduce developing young computer enthusiasts to the many facets of the world of computing and telecommunications in an enjoyable learning environment. The goal is to provide challenging, positive, and cutting edge experiences with various aspects of computing. One of these activities will be to immerse campers in ActiveWorlds. This will allow them to chat, experience control over avatars and navigation in a virtual space. Furthermore, one of the ice-breaking activities we are planning will be a "Scavenger Hunt" using Active Worlds. Campers will become aware of the broad scope of computing in business and society. It is our hope that this experience will assist the campers in making decisions regarding their future educational pursuits.
