Project Description KLICK! Is a consortium of several urban and rural Michigan school districts with the support of the College of Education at Michigan State University. KLICK! Is establishing a virtual network of ten middle school computer Klubhouses as community learning centers. These extra-curricular Klubhouses will enable at-risk students to engage in authentic learning opportunities through the use of computers and computer-related technology. Since KLICK! Started, we have been exploring the use of different chat programs to enhance the establishment of our virtual community. We would appreciate the use of Active Worlds Educational Universe as a virtual meeting place for the KLICK kids, teachers, and administrators. Use of this universe will include participating in chats everyday during SLKICK hours, which are often 3 to 5pm; and participating in virtual meetings for various KLICK projects as and when they are held. | ||
