Project Description

For the past two years I have taught a seminar "Multi-Use VR on the Internet and the basics of 3D Design" at our department. Students usually discovered virtual worlds and experienced the community of Blaxxun Cybertown, Learnetix , communities using Onlive Traveler, and also many of AW worlds. They experienced work with Cosmo Home Space Builder and have been introduced to Caligari Truespace. Next year I intend to work out my dissertation focused on the topic "Distance Education Support with Multi-Use Collaborative Systems", part of it possibly will be a comparative study of different systems and its use in conjunction in local settings. The UISKPrag will use the project world to accomplish the following goals: 1.) To allow students to experience collaboratively working on design of virtual educational space and be a part of an AW community. 2.) To use AW and some asynchronous system in conjunction for developing distance education support for our intended New Media Module at our department. 3.) For experimenting with AW space in future frames of my research work.
